Literature Text
I want to be the bard inside,
Who creeps into my daily life;
I want to use his words as well,
So I may write twice as well;
I want to have his gleaming eyes,
Not these rheum-dried eyes of mine;
I want to observe as he observes,
A decent purpose these beads can serve;
I want to indulge in sesquipedalian speech,
So that I may learn to learn as well as teach.
I want to be the bard inside,
I want to feel his fire;
I want to be the bard inside,
And from his loneliness never tire.
Who creeps into my daily life;
I want to use his words as well,
So I may write twice as well;
I want to have his gleaming eyes,
Not these rheum-dried eyes of mine;
I want to observe as he observes,
A decent purpose these beads can serve;
I want to indulge in sesquipedalian speech,
So that I may learn to learn as well as teach.
I want to be the bard inside,
I want to feel his fire;
I want to be the bard inside,
And from his loneliness never tire.
A poem about poetry, how exciting
I was so careful not to accidentally type 'beard' instead...haha...

Brilliant poem and I would like if you could explain the word "sesquipedalian" to me
Good stuff!
